Children’s Parties

Kids Birthday Parties at A la Carte are always fun! 

Each party is a hands-on cooking class with a chance to enjoy the meal as well.  We have many different menu selections for your child to choose from, or we can create the perfect menu for you.

To assure the safety and enjoyment of all the children, we have a few guidelines:

•  The minimum number of children for the party is 12 (of course you can do less; the fee is just based on 12) and we can comfortably accommodate up to 20.  However, if 14 or more children attend, an additional instructor will be required and an additional fee of $60 will be charged.
• We welcome children of age 8 and up.  Younger than that is difficult since their lack of manual dexterity and their short attention span take all of the instructor’s attention; the other kids won’t get the full benefit of a hands-on cooking experience.  (If there is a younger child you must bring, please understand they may not get to help, but they can watch.  If possible, they will be included.  Let us know in advance if any younger children will be attending.)
• For a two-hour birthday party, the price per child is $59.00.  Two adults for the birthday child may attend at no additional charge.  Space is limited, however, if additional adults will be staying, there will be a $30.00 charge per person, whether or not they plan to eat with the group.  Again, please let us know before the party.  50% of the total is due when you book the date: the remainder is due 10 days before the event.  We can also create an adorable goody bag for the occasion for an additional fee.
